Lorin Shapiro, MFT
Lorin Shapiro is an LMFT who specializes in Couples Work, Relationship Issues, and Sexual Addiction. Lorin received her Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and her Master of Arts from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, a Higher Learning Commission accredited program renown for clinical training. Her graduate studies focused on psychodynamic psychotherapy, conjoint therapy, family systems, and addiction.
After earning her masters, Lorin went on to receive advanced training in psychoanalytic theories and psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills, where she completed a three year traineeship. As a trainee at the Maple Counseling Center, she gained specialized training in working with couples, individuals, groups and intake and assessment. While at the Maple Center, Lorin led an interpersonal process group for women and worked as the school therapist for the American Film Institute in Hollywood, CA. Following her traineeship, Lorin continued her work under the supervision of Dr. Ann Wexler and she now sees individuals, couples and families in her private practice in Beverly Hills.
At ISH, Lorin brings her passion for creating a safe, accepting, exploratory environment in which clients have the opportunity to connect more deeply with themselves, thus leading them to more fulfilling lives and healthier relationships.
Currently, Lorin is pursuing a certificate in Advanced Training in Problematic Sexual Behaviors.
